Jonathan Stevens has been practicing law for the last 25 years.

Mr. Stevens is a transactions and litigation attorney who has represented private companies and individuals in a variety of business, real estate, estate planning and litigation matters. He has advised clients on business formation, operation, business/real estate acquisition, real estate leases, intellectual property, commercial financing, contractual, employee and regulatory issues.  As special outside counsel, he has assisted two Fortune 500 companies on air quality regulatory compliance.  Currently, he serves as outside general counsel to a food manufacturer, database publishing company, clothing and design firm, retailer and construction and development-related entities.  Mr. Stevens taught business law courses for the University of Phoenix MBA program between 1999 and 2008. He also taught extended education classes in business law for the California State Universities at Fullerton and Northridge.

Other client assignments include raising capital, devising licensing arrangements, planning corporate expansion and creating and protecting branding strategies.  He has also managed complex, multi-party business litigation and legal strategy implementation.  He has recently litigated commercial banking, copyright, trademark, trade secret, unfair competition, regulatory, real estate broker liability and breach of contract matters.

Mr. Stevens earned his B.A. degree from University of California, Irvine, a M.A. in Urban Planning from UCLA and his J.D. degree from the Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.  He is licensed to practice law in California and Washington.  He is a member of the California State Bar’s business and real property sections, and the Washington State Bar’s Business Law, Corporate Counsel, Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment Law and Real Property Probate and Trusts sections.  He is also a member of the King County Bar Association (WA), Orange County Bar Association (CA) and Urban Land Institute.

About Deborah Luzuriaga: 
Deborah is a Senior Paralegal supporting the firm’s business, real estate and land use litigation. Deborah graduated from St. Mary’s ABA approved Paralegal Program in 1982. Her extensive experience includes detailed and in-depth complex litigation case work from research and discovery through trial and preparation and appeals. Deborah is proficient in the use of legal research, case management and e-discovery applications. Deborah particularly enjoys working with California Environmental Quality Act, land use and commercial litigation.

Fabiola is our resident Intellectual Property and Federal Practice Attorney. She earned a B.A. in Communications from the University of Washington, with a specific concentration in Crisis Public Relations in 2012 and received her J.D. from Seattle University in 2016. She is admitted and in good standing to the Alabama State Bar.

She has experience in federal regulatory affairs regarding cannabis and restricted pesticide products, international trade, employment affairs and contract management and negotiation. Prior to joining the firm, Fabiola worked in marketing and advertising advising start-up companies in the Seattle area. She fluent is both English and Spanish.
